Jude Kallok was born in 1955 in Albany, New York.  In the mid 1970’s she attended Syracuse University, where she first met members of the emerging feminist art movement.  In 1977, she moved to New York where she continued to study with members of the Pattern and Decoration Movement.  In 1980, she lived and exhibited in Northern California before moving to the Berkshires in 1983.  In the Berkshires she worked and exhibited with several women’s art groups.  She also served as curator of several exhibitions including an exhibition of the work of Alice Neel. In 1987, she moved east where she worked for several cultural and educational institutions.  In 2003, Jude earned a BA in Art from Hampshire College where she studied public art and non-western art, focusing on the ritual art of West Africa. Jude has lived in Monson, MA for nearly forty years.
